Cordwalles is situated on a large estate in the centre of Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It is the avenues of trees and 15 hectares of park-like grounds which create a country school atmosphere and it is within this intimate and secure environment where solid individual foundations are laid down.

DIRECTIONS FROM DURBAN:
Travel on the N3 from Durban to Pietermaritzburg.
Take the exit 82 off the highway “Sanctuary Road / Armitage Road / Royal Show grounds ”.
Keep left at the top of the off ramp (Midlands Liberty Mall will be on your right). Keep on this road and go through a traffic light.  (With Car City on either side of you).
At the traffic circle go out directly opposite (12 o’clock) from where you entered into Hyslop Road (Absa Bank will be on your left) travel along Hyslop Road and take 2nd right into Gough Road (a very short road) which will bring you up to Howick Road. Turn right into Howick Road and travel up the hill. At the first set of traffic lights you will see the sign board of Cordwalles on the left. Turn left into Cordwalles Drive and Cordwalles Prep School is on your immediate right.  Enter the gates of Cordwalles Preparatory School.

DIRECTIONS FROM CENTRE OF TOWN:
From the Town Hall come down Chief Albert Luthuli Street (formerly Commercial Rd), cross over Victoria Road and continue. You will pass the Royal Show Grounds on your right. Continue up Howick Road and at the traffic lights turn left into Cordwalles Drive and then first right into Cordwalles.

DIRECTIONS FROM JOHANNESBURG:
Take the N3 to Durban passing through Mooi River, Howick and Hilton. Just after the off ramp exit to Hilton you will travel along Townhill mountain pass into Pietermaritzburg. However, after passing the exit to the Hilton Village you will take the next exit (#86) called PETER BROWN Road. Please exit here. At the top turn right and travel over the highway. Get to a circle and go 'across it' (12 o'clock) – you will see Athlone School on your right. Travel through the traffic lights and continue all the way down the hill. The playing fields of Cordwalles Preparatory School will appear on your right. At the next set of traffic lights turn right into Cordwalles Road and you will see the entrance gate leading into the school. The security guard will direct you left to the car park next to the Andrew Rattray Pre Primary and Reception.
