Art

AIMS OF ART

The aim is to unlock each boys' unique talents and to expose them to many different techniques and materials, to equip them to express themselves in an independent, 'out the box' creative fashion. Starting in Grade 1, the boys will be exposed to various art works of the masters and in our communities, helping them appreciate different art forms and to be inspired in their own work.

Throughout the year at Cordwalles, the boys will practice their observation skills as well as put their hand to some abstract work. The boys will be taken to new heights as their talents are nurtured and developed. Art is an extremely important subvject to be taught to our children in the 21st century, as it develops creative thinkers who will be to think innovatively to solve problems that will face us in the future. It not only teaches observation skills and develops fine- motor skills, but also analytical and critical thinking.
