aQuellé Cordwalles Mudman 2012

It's that time of year again: Race #3 in The aQuellé Cordwalles Mudman series is around the corner. To the many seasoned aQuellé Mudman athletes, the Cordwalles race needs no introduction. To newcomers, be warned, miss this and you miss out!

Diarise these essential details and get the while family training for the outdoor event of the year:

Date: 18 March 2012

Place: Orient Park, Midmar Dam

In this Cordwalles Centenary Year, we are hoping to have a record 1700 entrants. To cheer them on at every turn will be over 100 volunteers from the Cordwalles Parents' Association. The ' Cordies Crew' have already done the groundwork to ensure that this year's aQuellé Mudman is as exciting and challenging as ever. Whether you are 5 or 95, a seasoned athlete or an enthusiastic amateur, we know that your participation in aQuellé Mudman will become an annual highlight of your family's sporting calendar once you participate in your first aQuellé Mudman. We know that adrenalin is not only for serious athletes, and that familes who play togethert, stay together. So events have been tailor-made for every member of the family, whatever level of athlete you may be:

McDonalds Mudskippers

There are 4 Mudskipper events to choose from. Based on previous years, we have suggested appropriate age guidelines for these different events, but the options are in fact based entirely on ability. Children can choose to participate in any of the Mudskipper events. We suggest that if it’s your child’s first time at the event, rather choose an easier option as we want them to have loads of fun while enjoying that feeling of achievement!  As this is the future breeding ground for our Mudman we recognise that some older children may prefer to step up to the half distance event either as individuals or as a team. They are encouraged to do so, but be sure to check out the race rules!

Registration closes 30min before each event.

Our very generous sponsors have donated some fantastic lucky draw prizes too, so be sure to stick around for Prize Giving from 12h30. We’ve got more tents to keep you cool - if not take a dip in the dam!

Please don't forget...

* no helmet - no ride – no exceptions

* R40 gate entry per vehicle to Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife who ensure that the backdrop to this unique event is pristine every year.

* Give yourself lots of time to enjoy the festivities before and after the event and travel safe- you willl feel like rewarding yourself once you've completed another aQuellé Cordwalles Mudman!
