Cordwalles is situated on a large estate in the centre of Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It is the avenues of trees and 15 hectares of park-like grounds which create a country school atmosphere and it is within this intimate and secure environment where solid individual foundations are laid down.

DIRECTIONS FROM DURBAN:

Travel on the N3 from Durban to Pietermartizburg (which continues on to Johannesburg).
Take exit 82 off the highway the sign board will read : ‘Sanctuary Road / Armitage Road / Royal Show grounds’. 

Keep left at the top of the off ramp.  (Midlands Liberty Mall on your right) – keep left. Go through a traffic light, with Car City on either side of you.

At the traffic circle go out directly opposite (12 o’clock) from where you entered into Hyslop Road. The ABSA building will be on your left. Travel down this road and  take 2nd right into Gough Road (a very short road) which will bring you to Howick Road. 

Turn right into Howick Road and travel up the hill, beware the speed-reducing hump half-way up. At the first set of traffic lights turn left into Cordwalles Road and Cordwalles Prep School is on your immediate right. You will see the Cordwalles sign board at the traffic lights. Come through the gates, keep left, park in the parking area and walk to Reception in the Ronald Brooks Administration block.

DIRECTIONS FROM CENTER OF TOWN:

From the Town Hall come down Chief Albert Luthuli Street (formerly Commercial Rd), cross over Victoria Road and continue. You will pass the Royal Show Grounds on your right. Continue up Howick Road and at the Traffic Lights turn left into Cordwalles Drive and then first right into Cordwalles.

DIRECTIONS FROM N3 SOUTHBOUND:
(Peter Brown Drive, formerly Duncan McKenzie Drive)

Take the Peter Brown Drive off-ramp. At the T-junction turn right. Once you get to the circle, keep going towards the Traffic Lights and keep Athlone School on your right. Go through the Traffic Lights and continue down Howick Road until you see Cordwalles on your right. Turn right at the Cordwalles Drive Traffic Lights.
