Our topic has been energy; we researched different forms of energy & discussed wind energy as an alternative fossil fuel fuel energy.  During science we discussed wind power as a renewable source of energy which can be used to create electricity to light our houses and run factories.  The boys then built their own wind anemometer to measure the speed of wind in class.

Our topic has been acids and bases; we learnt about the use of chemicals in the home and how to use our knowledge to make wise decisions about chemicals.
In our lesson “have you ever wondered how soap takes away dirt” we did an experiment to see how chemicals in soap clean clothes. We choose three different kinds of washing soap and a stain removal, and marked a cloth with mud, oil and ink.  We washed the cloths in the various soaps to see which performed better and compared the stains.
