Jones, Andrew and Simon 2002
We are all well and enjoying our new life although miss old friends.  I've (Jane, his mother) just been on a school outing with Simon, he is in the Rippa Rugby team for school, (a formalised version of tails) and we have been at a tournament all morning.  They did very well winning 3 of 4 games.  Both boys continue to play hockey for school on Monday and Tuesday evenings although the season is nearly over.  All the sports facilities are very convenient to us. Summer will bring Saturday morning cricket for Si again and sailing for Andrew.  They are loving their school and have made some lovely friends, fetching a car load of little boys to go to sport makes us feel like Cordwalles days!  Andrew is learning Spanish for the next 2 terms having done Japanese for the beginning of the year.  They have a wonderful choice of subjects and particularly enjoy Tech.  Andrew's theme this term has been the Romans and they recently had  Roman Day at school.  They had to dress in Roman costume and take Roman food and had an historical group come in full Roman regalia to re-enact a Roman battle.  Went down particularly well with the boys!

Cook, Robert (2000)
Hi, most of you probably have forgotten me, but my name is Robert Cook an old Cordies student. I left around 4 years ago to embark on a new journey all the way to Bahrain. Bahrain is a small island close to Dubai. It is very sweet over here the weather is freezing at the moment though but it is usually very hot.
The school I am at is called St. Christophers Senior School, and yes I am already in high school, just about to choose my GCSEs (O Levels) actually. The students Ii am studying with are from all around the world, I have gotten a taste of what it is like to be in the real world thanks to this. I have made good friends and good memories. But nothing compared to Cordwalles:

  • Rugby Trips
  • Cross Country
  • Camp Out On The Fields
  • The Walk to Worlds View
  • All my friends
  • The Cafeteria
  • The House events
  • The Chapel Services
  • Many
  • Many
  • More!

I am also quite busy sporting wise over here, I am playing squash, swimming, tennis, rugby, skateboarding, saxophone and turntables. I am loving it here but I am always wondering what is happening over in Cordwalles.
I miss you guys stay safe and take care, hope to see ya soon
Robert Cook
