We would like to say a very big thank you and give a big shout out to the entire team at Cordwalles; we are so proud to be a part of the Cordwalles family. Although Matt is new to Cordwalles, you have sure made him feel loved, appreciated and cared for by all. He is no doubt one very proud Cordwalles boy. The enthusiasm, effort made, and assistance we receive from all the teachers is fantastic.

What drew Kim and I to Cordwalles as a school for our boys was, in particular, the attitude of its educators – the approach of the school to the education of boys, and a staff who were clearly dedicated to that task. The school is beautiful and the facilities are very good. Those are important things, of course, but what distinguishes Cordwalles is its ethos. It delivers on its promise to provide its pupils with their foundation for life. Cordwalles is a true centre of excellence, and that is not hyperbole.

I had the pleasure of being seated next to a young Cordies gentleman, from Grade 7, on a flight to Johannesburg recently. He made me extremely proud of Cordwalles, with his impeccable manners and his respectful and kind outlook. He was well spoken, neatly presented and charming, and I enjoyed some lovely conversations with him.

As the end of nine years at Cordwalles rapidly and sadly draws to a close, I would like to thank you for the happy years our family has spent at this great school. I wish I could take what is so special about Cordwalles and bottle it, but unfortunately it is a recipe that has been made over 110 years. Each generation, staff member, boy and Headmaster adding their own particular ingredients, culminating in what it is today – the best boys prep school in South Africa and, dare I say, worldwide.
